Cause and Effect by Ana Soler (Frozen Tennis Balls)

When walking into the Mustang Art Gallery in Alicante, Spain one almost feels like they are stepping into the matrix. Artist Ana Soler carefully suspended 2000 tennis balls in mid air. Perfectly spacing them to track the natural trajectory of a moving ball. Her installation piece entitled “Cause and Effect” manages to take the viewer into a world where time stops and anything is possible.

Ana is a 39 year old female Mixed Media and Installation Artist from Spain.

What would really freak people out is if she had rigged all of the tennis balls in a way that she could make them all drop from the air simultaneously. I would love to see that.
